If you run a lab with other people
If you are the only owner of a lab that has other members, hand the lab over first: make another member an owner, or remove the members. The lab's record belongs to the lab, so we do not delete it from under the people who still use it.
What is deleted at once
- Your profile and public page, and your profile photo.
- Your workplace: your place in every lab you belong to, and invitations sent to your address.
- Your quiz record, challenges and badges.
- Your Academy exam sittings and practice.
- Your documents and their files.
- Your email preferences, and your address in our marketing system if you had agreed to emails.
- Your sign-in: the account itself.
What is kept, and why
- Invoices and payment records, for eight years, because Indian tax law requires it. They are kept without your account.
- A lab only you belong to is closed at once and its quality record is kept for 30 days, in case the deletion was a mistake. After 30 days it is deleted with its documents and their files. If the lab made payments, an empty entry named “Deleted lab” stays only so that its invoices still point somewhere.
- A certificate already issued to a lab stays on the lab's record and can still be checked on its verify page. So does an Academy certificate already issued to you; write to us if you want yours withdrawn.
