ICSI Cumulase (recombinant hyaluronidase)
Recombinant human hyaluronidase for removing cumulus cells before ICSI.
What it is and how it's used
Enzymatic step before mechanical denudation. Exposure time and concentration matter: too long damages the oolemma and raises degeneration after ICSI; too short leaves cumulus and makes injection harder.
Typical failure modes
- Higher post-ICSI degeneration after a lot change or longer exposure.
- Poor fertilisation with fragile-looking oocytes.
What to check first
- Exposure time in seconds actually used vs IFU/SOP.
- Working concentration and dilution practice.
- Lot and storage.
