Sydney IVF Cleavage / Blastocyst Medium

Sequential media for day 1–3 and day 3–5/6 culture.

Clinical review pending·1 min read·Updated 2026-08-16

What it is and how it's used

Same changeover considerations as any sequential system: the day-3 move is a handling event.

Typical failure modes

  • Blastocyst rate falls after a Blastocyst-medium lot change.
  • Arrest around compaction after a slow or cool changeover.

What to check first

  1. Lot dates vs KPI change.
  2. Changeover time-out and stage temperature by probe.
  3. Compare by incubator.

IFU and practice notes

Follow the IFU for equilibration and culture volumes.

Neutral, and the IFU wins
